The property

Resting between the picturesque towns of Bridport and West Bay, The White House is a hugely impressive townhouse which offers spacious and well-presented accommodation.

The perfect venue for large families or groups travelling together, The White House has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The welcoming sitting room is stylishly presented with beautiful wood flooring, a beamed ceiling and an inviting seating area; the perfect spot for gathering as a group, curling up on a sofa and making the most of quality holiday time together.

Step into the comprehensively equipped kitchen which has everything possibly needed for the designated chef to whip up some fabulous cuisine for the whole family.

Enjoy meals in style in the elegant sunroom which is all set up with an extensive dining table and has attractive French doors opening out on the gardens.

If the weather allows then throw open the doors and step outside to the patio area and lawns beyond.

The gardens are walled and enclosed making this a perfectly safe area for children (and dogs!) to have some freedom while the adults can relax and enjoy some drinking and dining time alfresco.

All that running around is bound to have tired you out so when sleep calls choose from any one of the five stylish bedrooms including two king-sizes and three doubles.

All with en-suite facilities and provide a private sanctuary for guests.

Waking up at The White House is a joy with the accommodation having been tastefully renovated to create a truly welcoming ambience for its guests.

Much as you’ll want to stay in at The White House, getting out and about is a must here.

The house is ideally situated between the idyllic towns of Bridport and West Bay.

Bridport is a delightful market town making it ideal for a browse and attractions here include Bridport Museum and Palmers Brewery Tours and West Bay boasts some of the best beaches in Dorset.

If you’re up for a drive with some stunning scenery along the way pop along to Charmouth Heritage Centre, the Jurassic Fun Centre, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary with towns such as Lyme Regis and Weymouth well worth a visit too.

Where you’ll be staying

WEST BAY

Bridport 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 11 miles.

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive West takes you to Charmouth for fossil hunting, to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and to River Cottage HQ near Axminster. To the East are the lovely Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury, and the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
