This property is located in the village of Lytchett Matravers in East Dorset within walking distance (1.5 miles) of the village pubs and shops. Just six miles south-east of the property is the coastal town of Poole which has no less than five beaches including the long sandy well-kept beach at Sandbanks from which it is possible to catch the chain ferry across to the National Trust reserve at Studland Bay. Located within Poole Harbour and easily accessible by a regular boat service is the quiet traffic-free Brownsea Island. Famed for its connections to the Scouting movement and known for its abundance of wildlife including rare red squirrels a day trip to the island is a must-do for visitors to the area. A set of stairs brings guests staying at this property from the car port to the front door of the first-floor apartment. There are exposed beams throughout the property and due to its location in the eaves of the barn conversion there are sloping ceilings and some reduced head-height but most visitors find this only adds to the charm. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with windows on all sides which flood the room with light. The lounge area has two recliner armchairs and a 2 seat reclining sofa which allow guests to relax comfortably in front of the TV/DVD as well as to enjoy the superb sunsets from the panoramic window. There is also a selection of books and games provided here for guests use. The lounge is a wonderfully relaxing space with comfortable sofas a wood burner TV/DVD and beautiful lead-framed patio door which leads to the sunny conservatory. There will be no disagreements about what to watch on TV here as just off from the lounge there is a cosy snug room with its own Smart TV. The dining room provides the perfect space for formal meals and sociable dining with its large dining table flame-effect electric fire and stained-glass window whilst the kitchen has a breakfast bar which is a great place for more informal meals and snacks. As you would expect from a five-star property the kitchen is well-equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs there are four bedrooms.
